Patriots vs. Cowboys Prediction, Player Prop Picks & Lineups: Sun, 10/1
On Sunday afternoon, the New England Patriots will visit the Dallas Cowboys in texas. The Patriots are coming off their first win of the season over the Jets, while the Cowboys just suffered their first loss of the year to a weaker Arizona Cardinals team. New England didn’t have its greatest game offensively in their 15-10 win over the Jets on Sunday, but they were able to limit Zach Wilson and the offense to only 10 pints which helped them secure the win.
Dallas on the other hand, had its worst performance of the year thus far with their loss to the Cardinals. They lost 28-16 to a team led by Joshua Dobbs, which certainly hurt their confidence going into this matchup with New England.
This makes for some interesting Patriots vs. Cowboys predictions, and our experts have got you covered. We also will be going in-depth on some Patriots vs. Cowboys Player props, so stick around for those. Patriots vs. Cowboys Prediction and Ezekiel Elliott’s Revenge Game for Sunday, 10/1
On Sunday, two of the NFL’s largest and most passionate fan bases will square off in Dallas. This will be Ezekiel Elliott’s first time squaring off against his former team since joining the Patriots over the summer, and there’s nothing he’d love more than to beat them on their home turf. When we look at these teams, it’s obvious that they were in very different positions at the time. The Patriots are now 1-2 after picking up their first win of the season, while the Cowboys started off strong and took a major step back this past week by losing to the Cardinals, who some were calling the worst team in the NFL.
New England hasn’t been blown out yet, and that’s saying something considering the fact they lost to the dominant Eagles in week one by one score and followed that game up by nearly beating the Dolphins who put up 70 points this past weekend. This is a testament to the Patriots defense, and their ability to keep fighting against some of the league’s best.
Now let’s discuss the Cowboys who sit at 2-1 at the moment. Dallas has not been battle-tested much so far, as they’ve only played the Giants, Jets, and Cardinals who are some of the lesser teams in the entire NFL. The fact that they lost 28-16 against the Cardinals is very concerning for Cowboys fans, as their defense looked extremely soft and vulnerable against Joshua Dobbs and the Cards.
The Cowboy offense doesn’t look as dominant as some may have thought with their wins over the Giants and Jets. Dak Prescott went just 25/40 passing on Sunday and threw an interception which has been an issue for him in the past. If the Cowboys want to cover the spread against the Patriots, they’ll need an amazing game from Prescott with no turnovers. With Patriots rookie DB Cristian Gonzalez already locking up some of the league’s top receivers, he should be able to keep CeeDee Lamb at bay.
Our official Patriots vs. Cowboys prediction is that the Patriots keep this game very close throughout, as the defense shines against a Cowboys offense that’s hoping to get their swagger back. The -7 spread is simply too much for Dallas to cover here, and we believe Mac Jones will have a good game in the dome, potentially winning outright. Let’s ride with the Pats to cover this disrespectful spread on the road.

Patriots vs. Cowboys Player Props Highlighting Rhamondre Stephenson & Mac Jones
Rhamondre Stevenson Over 52.5 Rushing Yards (-120 at DraftKings)
As we stated previously, we’re riding with the Patriots +7 (-123 at DraftKings) as our main spread pick in this one. However, we also want to give you some Patriots vs. Cowboys player props. Let’s start off with Rhamondre Stevenson. Rhamondre had 59 yards in the Patriots win over the Jets last week, and he wasn’t even the leading rusher for New England. Elliott had 80 yards in the game, and we believe this week is Stevenson’s turn to step up as the leader of the rushing attack. Let’s take Rhamondre Stevenson Over 52.5 Rushing Yards (-120) at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Mac Jones to go Over 216.5 Passing Yards (-115 at DraftKings)
For our second player prop, we want to focus on Mac Jones. Mac threw for only 201 yards last week in rough weather conditions. This obviously won’t be a factor in the dome, and we believe the Patriots and Mac will be pumped to air it out in Dallas. Expect some big plays to Kendrick Bourne, Demario “Pop” Douglas, and Davante Parker, to get Mac well over his number in passing yards. Let’s ride with Mac Jones to go Over 216.5 Passing Yards (-115) at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Patriots vs. Cowboys Lineups & Odds for Sunday, October 1st, 2023 via DraftKings Sportsbook
Before getting into our Patriots vs. Cowboys odds, we want to briefly look at our offensive leaders in both lineups for Sunday. Leading the Patriots passing is QB Mac Jones who’s racked up 748 yards and 5 touchdowns thus far. The NE rushing attack is led by Rhamondre Stevenson who has 134 yards and a TD, while Kendrick Bourne has led the Pats receivers with 2 touchdowns and 139 yards.
For Dallas, Dak Prescott leads the charge in the passing game with 647 yards and 3 TD’s, alongside RB Tony Pollard who’s leading the Dallas run game with 264 yards and 2 TD’s. CeeDee Lamb leads all Cowboys pass catchers with 273 yards through three games.
Now, we will provide you with Patriots vs. Cowboys odds provided by DraftKings.
Money Line: Patriots (+230) vs. Cowboys (-285)
Point Spread: Patriots +6.5 (-105) vs. Cowboys -6.5 (-115)
Game Total: Over 43 Points (-108) & Under 43 Points (-112)
This means that if you wager $100 on the Patriots to win the game outright, you would profit $230. If you take the Patriots to lose by less than a touchdown, you will need to wager $105 to win $100.

Patriots Injury Report Ahead of Sunday
The Patriots main injury concerns heading into this game are along the defensive line. Both Daniel Ekuale and Davon Godshaux suffered injuries on Sunday against the Jets. Ekuale is definitely out for week four, and potentially the whole season with a torn bicep.
Godshaux’s status is still unknown at this time, which is concerning as the Patriots may need to look to bring in help or pull up a defensive lineman from the practice squad this week.
